Valoroo Cares: Sustainable Community Pantries

We’re thrilled to share that on November 19, Valoroo Cares worked with Sagup Negros to help the Community Pantry. We had a fun and informative session about food and climate led by the Food Waste Heroes. They discussed the #Hero4Zero program and how it helps reduce food waste and climate change.

We also got to see how the 5C model works in Sagup Negros. It has five parts: Computation, Collection, Carinderia, Composting, and Community. We saw how they collect food and give it to needy people. It was amazing to see how much they help the community.

At the end of the day, we gave some items to the community pantry. We gave them an air conditioning unit, a kitchen table, and boxes of canned goods and noodles. We’re happy to be part of the #Hero4Zero program and thankful we got the chance to help people in need.
